Our ApproachThe Philadelphia Bar Foundation approaches its work in a planned way. We believe in the importance of setting meaningful goals and taking part in strategic action to fulfill our mission. We are pleased to share the current goals from our 2008 - 2012 Strategic Plan.

2008-2012 GOALS
Making Marketing More Meaningful To increase the legal community’s awareness of and engagement with the Bar Foundation. To strengthen our bond with the legal community through effective marketing, communications and opportunities for people to participate in ways that interest them.
- Promote the legal community's charitable participation and accomplishments
- Address the needs of Foundation donors
- Expand the Marketing Committee
- Initiate a multi-channel communication strategy
- Develop a meaningful online visitor space
- Demonstrate charity's power to improve lives
Increasing Annual Support And Building The Endowment Develop and implement a comprehensive fund raising plan that will generate new and increased annual contributions from both current and new donors. Position the Bar Foundation to initiate a structured planned giving program to significantly increase the Endowment.
- Expand the Fund Raising Committee and achieve full trustee participation in fund development
- Produce a Case for Support that addresses multiple donor groups and funding opportunities
- Develop a Annual Gifts program that is donor-centered
- Establish a Planned Giving Legacy Society
- Significantly increase Cy Pres funding
- Institutionalize Raising the Bar
Enhancing Our Capacity To Serve In collaboration with grantee organizations, evaluate training, technical assistance and capacity building needs. Seek grants to support such opportunities.
