Cheryl Maddox, Esq.

Cheryl Maddox joined the Board of Trustees in 2018.

Cheryl Maddox is the General Counsel at PFM*, responsible for developing, managing, and directing all aspects of the firm’s corporate legal function.

Immediately prior to taking on her current role, Ms. Maddox was an Associate General Counsel at De Lage Landen Financial Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Rabobank Group. While there, Ms. Maddox provided primary legal support to several of the company’s global business units and internal services teams, including the company’s Tax, Litigation and Recovery, IT and Procurement teams.

Prior to her in-house role, Ms. Maddox was associated with Potter Anderson and Corroon LLP, a law firm located in Wilmington, Delaware. Her practice concentrated in municipal bond transactions, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, defeasances, and general corporate governance matters.

Prior to practicing law, Ms. Maddox was a Bank Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and spent several years in banking with large regional banks.

Ms. Maddox serves as a member on the Board of Trustees for Lackawanna College. Ms. Maddox also serves as a member of the Board of the greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Ms. Maddox is a graduate of Ursinus College where she earned a B.A. in economics and business administration.  She earned a J.D. from Widener University School of Law and an LL.M. in taxation from Villanova University School of Law.

She is licensed to practice in Delaware and Pennsylvania, and before the United States Tax Court.
