Philadelphia Bar Foundation Welcomes 2020 Board Observers

  •

The Philadelphia Bar Foundation welcomes P. Michael Jones, Esq., and Lora Spencer, Esq., as Board Observers to the Bar Foundation through the 2020 Board Observer Program.

Michael joins the Bar Foundation from Philadelphia VIP, one of the Foundation’s nonprofit partners, where he is a Homeownership staff attorney, responsible for helping clients get the titles to their homes and working with VIP’s volunteer attorneys on title cases.

Lora is an associate in the Life Science Industry Group at Reed Smith. Her focus is on complex pharmaceutical and medical device product liability and advertising and promotion matters. She is committed to serving local nonprofits and also volunteers for Philadelphia VIP.

The Board Observer Program (BOP) provides young lawyers with the opportunity serve as a volunteer on a nonprofit board. During the BOP cohort year, Observers learn about nonprofit governance, management, and operations. The Philadelphia Bar Foundation works in partnership with the Delivery of Legal Services Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association (DLSC) and the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association (YLD) to implement and manage the BOP.
