Strengthening Nonprofit Partners

The Philadelphia Bar Foundation is the only foundation in the city focused solely on strengthening civil legal aid. We support a network of nonprofits that help people facing poverty, abuse, and discrimination. Our flexible funding helps keep families housed, protect survivors, secure public benefits, and fight injustice. In a city with the highest poverty rate among major U.S. cities, only 1 in 5 low-income residents gets the legal help they need. We step in to close that gap; providing grants, programs, and support that help legal aid organizations serve thousands and build stronger, more just communities.
