Building Justice Champions

The Bar Foundation’s programs support current public interest attorneys and leaders and cultivate the next generation. Through fellowships, the Board Observer Program, trainings, and educational forums, we equip legal professionals at every stage with the tools to lead with purpose and advance equity. These programs strengthen ties between the for profit and nonprofit legal sectors and help build a more just and inclusive legal system.

Our programs and fellowships help shape the next generation of public interest leaders by providing law students and early-career attorneys with meaningful, hands-on experiences in legal aid, nonprofit governance, and public service. These initiatives are designed to expand access to opportunity, foster long-term careers in civil legal aid, and strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion across the legal profession. By investing in emerging talent, we’re building a more representative, community-centered legal system—one that reflects and serves the people who need it most.
