The Philadelphia Equal Justice Center is a forward‑thinking initiative that combines community insight, technology, and cross‑sector collaboration to reshape how civil legal aid is accessed and delivered in the city, all toward the goal of equal justice for all.
Judge Alfred L. Luongo Fund
The Judge Alfred L. Luongo Fund supports individuals reentering the community after incarceration by providing emergency financial assistance through the STAR Reentry Program and two specialized federal court initiatives. Administered by the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, the fund helps cover critical needs like housing, education, employment, health care, and child care—removing barriers to stability and long-term success.
Justice Matters Forum
The Justice Matters Forum is a public education and engagement series hosted by the Philadelphia Bar Foundation to explore urgent civil justice issues. Through panels, simulations, and expert-led discussions, the forum brings together legal professionals, advocates, and community members to deepen understanding and inspire action around topics such as reentry, systemic inequality, and access to legal aid.
