The KJ Story featuring Nonprofit Partner, ACCR

A  North Philadelphia man was given a death sentence in 2007 because of mix-up in DNA evidence. The defense lawyers found that the prosecutors and police witnesses had incorrectly mixed up DNA reports from two baseball caps found at the scene of the crime. Because of this, he was locked up in solitary confinement for 23 hours each day waiting for his death sentence.

Our nonprofit partner, Atlantic Center for Capital Representation, recently took over the case and was able to get him off of death row. ACCR will also be representing him at his retrial that they are trying to have planned over the next few weeks. Check out the full Philly.com article HERE.
